I got my Samsung Galaxy Young phone recently and I'm so excited to personalize different features of the phone. First thing I wanted to change is the phone ringtone but upon checking under the Phone Ringtone Settings there was only little pre-set ringtones. I thought of changing it to my favorite MP3 music but there was no option of opening the folder of Music files on the Sound settings.I tried opening My Files folder for Sound[MP3 music] and setting it as a phone ringtone but its not working either.
Finally, i was able to get it. :)
See below screenshots i have taken as a guide in personalizing your phone ringtone:
On your widgets, tap and open MUSIC.
Tap SONGS Tab, locate your favorite music you want to set as your caller ringtone.
Play your selected MP3.
While playing the music press MENU KEY. As you can see on the screenshot, different options and one of these is set as ringtone :)
Set it and ENJOY!!

/media/audio/alarms
copy .mp3 notifications if you want to change default sounds and so on and so forth

the simplest way is just long press the song u want in music player list appears and set ur tone
